General Overview: The Tower Place project consisted of the renovation and conversion of the 19 story, 330,000 square foot iconic Pennsylvania State Office Building, located at Broad and Spring Garden Street, into 340 premium residential units. The existing building’s MEP infrastructure was upgraded to support the conversion, with a commendation of new and repurposed equipment. Unit amenities include Bosch stackable washer and dryer, stainless steel appliances, oak hardwood floors, and granite countertops. On-site amenities include parking, fitness center, theatre room, and game room.

MEP/FP Special Features: The design of the building exceeded the current energy code by 30% through the use of exterior upgrades, energy recovery systems on the exhaust and outside air systems and high efficiency central heating hot water and domestic hot water systems.

Construction Value: Approximately $30 million.

AEI Services Provided: Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services and construction administration support for the duration of the project
